About me

Registered Occupational Therapist (BachOT), Post Grad Dip Mental Health and Recovery Philosophy, Life Coach (Dip, NZBII), accredited Yoga and Mindfulness instructor. I am also an author and  founder of Floorplay dance crew. I am trained in ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), focused ACT, life keepers (suicide prevention), sexuality and intimacy (STNZ), trauma-informed care as well as gender affirming and inclusive healthcare. I have eight years of experience working in a variety of settings including the acute adult psychiatric ward, a mindfulness based rehab centre, general practice GP, workplace well-being consultant for vocational rehab company and EAP therapy provider. 

Special interests 

Wairua/spiritual experiences. Complete Wairuatanga and Matakete wananga with tohunga Wiremu and Lesley Niania and spiritual mentor Vicky Murphy. 

Psychosexual theory. Completed trainings include persistent pelvic pain, erectile dysfunction, intimacy and sexuality. 

Rainbow rights: Gender-affirming healthcare, Trans rights and gender non-conformity are three very important kaupapa to me.

Alternative relationships: I am experienced with alternative relationship styles such as consensual non-monogamy, if that is something you look for in a therapist.

Movement as therapy: Able to infuse dance and movement in therapy if you wish.
